Applications for Planetary Epicyclic Drives

Two or More Speeds:

This permits a high speed for production (ratio 1:1) and a low speed for adjustment (ratio 1/K).

Since the gears do not rotate in ratio 1:1 (solid pulley drive), the Planetary Epicyclic Drive can be selected based on the low-speed (1/K) parameters.

Several Speeds:

Several SpeedsIt is often necessary to drive machine tool feed mechanisms with a high-speed approach, a low-speed, high torque working feed, and a high-speed return (transfer feed table, carriage, etc.).  It is possible to combine the Planetary Epicyclic Drive with two motors to achieve this combination of speeds.

The reduction ratio K is chosen according to the application requirement (-1 to 260).
