Reversing Gearboxes

Overview:

These mechanical reversing gearboxes utilize bevel or spur gears and a manual shifter for reversing the direction of rotation of the output shaft. Three positions are available: forward, neutral and reverse. Powers up to 350 hp can be transmitted.

Shifting can be done while the machine is at rest or at very low speed. Driven inertia loading must be taken into consideration.

Two or three shafts can be provided. The shafts are hardened and tempered alloy steel. The units can be universally mounted on any side face or flange. All units are oil lubricated and operate quietly.
