Applications for Rack & Pinion DrivesMaterial-Handling Axis: The Rack & Pinion Drives can be used to drive horizontal and vertical axis on material handling machines. These machines can pick up large components (engine blocks, transmissions, etc.) and place them into transfer lines or buffers. Precise positioning and repeatability can be achieve with these axis. Long travel lengths are achieved by mounting the racks end-to-end. Traveling gantries, which are typically driven on both sides, can also be achieved with these drives.
