Overview:

This line of multispeed transmissions features 2, 3, 4, 6 or 9 speeds in one gearbox housing, and from 12 to 288 speeds by coupling up to 4 boxes. Available in 7 sizes over the entire ratio range, with ratings from 5 to 800 hp at 1,500 rpm. Gearboxes are 96% efficient with a design life of over 10,000 hours and can withstand continuous operation - 24 hours a day. Output shafts can be supplied to rotate in the same or opposite directions. Reversing gearboxes are available that can change the direction of rotation either manually or electrically. Motor flanges can be supplied where installations require direct motor coupling.

The housings are machined from precision cast-iron castings with cubic form design that allows for installation in any position. When coupled in tandem, overall length is held to a minimum, offering more compact design than can be achieved with standard boxes. Precision ground gears are shrunk onto the shafts, eliminating the need for keys and reducing the possibility of fretting. All splines are precision ground as well. Splash lubrication is provided on models B200, B250 and B315. External pump lubrication is used on the larger models.

*All powers are in HP with a 1,500 rpm input. For higher input speeds, please consult the factory. Unless otherwise indicated, all powers are constant. For two speed boxes with *, the first power is for the low speed ratio; the second power is for the high speed ratio. For six speed boxes with *, the first power is for the three lowest speed ratios; the second power is for the three highest speed ratios.
  • BoxesN& R: Input & output shafts turn in the same direction. 3 speed unit has one lever; 4 - 9 speed unit has two.
  • Box SN: Input and output shafts turn in the opposite direction. Same dimensions as type N.
  • Box S: Input and output shafts turn in the opposite direction. 2 to 3 speed unit has one lever.
  • Box Type 800: Powers from 400 to 800 HP. All ratios can be obtained, please consult us.
  • Box IB: Reversing system with maximum of 3 ratios.
