Products for General Purpose/Test Bench Applications

Andantex USA has several product lines to solve general purpose/test bench applications.  A brief description of these lines is provided below:

Multispeed Transmissions

Catep Multispeed Transmissions
This line of multispeed transmissions features 2, 3, 4, 6 or 9 speeds in one gearbox housing, and from 12 to 288 speeds by coupling up to 4 boxes. Available in 7 sizes over the entire ratio range, with ratings from 5 to 800 hp at 1,500 rpm. Reversing gearboxes are available that can change the direction of rotation either manually or electrically. Applications include wire stranding, wire cabling, take-ups, payoffs, capstans, caterpillar drives, test benches, multi-spindle drilling machines and textile processing.

AnglGear Right-Angle Drives

AnglGear Right-Angle Drives
This line of Coniflex straight-bevel gearboxes has proven its performance for over 40 years. Developed to provide manual or power transmission of rotary motion in a compact, standardized right-angle unit. Each AnglGear is manufactured at our factory in Wanamassa, NJ, and all components are manufactured in the USA. The units are available in 5 sizes (in both inch & metric dimensions), with ratios 1:1 and 2:1, and powers up to 20 hp.

  • Speed Reducer/Increaser

Z-Series Spiral-Bevel Gearboxes

Z-Series Spiral-Bevel Gearboxes
The new Z-Series Precision Spiral-Bevel Gearbox range was streamlined from the R-Series to increase the number of common parts, while lowering costs and reducing lead times.  Available in 7 sizes & 6 model types, they feature high-quality, case-hardened & lapped alloy steel spiral-bevel gears, cut by the Klingelnberg method.  This high quality level insures low noise, backlash, and transmission error. These versatile units can be used as both reducers and increasers. Two shaft, three shaft, forward, neutral, and reverse models are available with horsepower ratings from 2 hp to 540 hp. Solid through-shafts and hollow bores are also available.

  • Speed Reducer/Increaser

R-Series Spiral-Bevel Gearboxes

R-Series Spiral-Bevel Gearboxes
The R-Series Spiral-Bevel Gearboxes are available in 3 sizes with ratios from 1:1 to 6:1.   These rugged units take over for the Z-Series in high power requirement applications, with ratings from 600 hp to 1,700 hp.  The R-Series features carburized alloy steel spiral-bevel gears that are lapped and installed in matched sets to insure low-backlash, quiet operation.  Solid shaft and hollow bores are also available.

  • Speed Reducer/Increaser

AnglCube Right-Angle Drives

AnglCube Right-Angle Drives
The AnglCube right-angle spiral-bevel gearboxes offer a unique universal mounting arrangement, allowing for extremely wide design flexibility. All AnglCube units feature case hardened and lapped spiral-bevel gears in an aluminum alloy housing. This reduces the overall weight of the units to about half of the Z-Series. These units are available in 3 sizes, with ratios 1:1 & 2:1 and powers up to 70 hp.

Heynau Mechanical Variable-Speed Drives

Heynau Variable-Speed Drives
The Heynau H-Drive is one of the most well known mechanical variable speed drives. The simple construction of this all-steel drive meets the highest requirements for quiet operation, precise speed holding, high efficiency and durability. The drives utilize a set of cones which transmit power via an encapsulating steel ring. By adjusting these cones in relation to the steel ring, a speed adjustment range of 6:1 or 9:1 can be achieved. This speed range can be realized while the machine is at rest or in motion. These drives can be arranged with input and output reducers and motors to achieve hundreds of speed and power ratings.

  • Constant Horsepower Applications

Reversing Gearboxes

Reversing Gearboxes
These mechanical reversing gearboxes utilize bevel or spur gears and a manual shifter for reversing the direction of rotation of the output shaft.  Three positions are available:  forward, neutral and reverse.  Powers up to 350 hp can be transmitted.  Shifting can be done while the machine is at rest or at very low speed.  Driven inertia loading must be taken into consideration.

Planetary Epicyclic Differentials

Planetary Epicyclic Differentials
The Type SA planetary epicyclic drive is the latest generation of Rotomission® technology. This compact, versatile differential consists of three elements which are mechanically connected by the sun and planet gears.  Combining the motion of the three elements solves many electro-mechanical drive problems.  Applications include reducer/increaser, two or more speeds, phase-shifting, precise speed adjustment, creation of relative speed while running, cyclic synchronization of two speeds, timing movements, and balance speed & torque.

Merobel Electromagnetic Particle Brakes, Clutches & Torque Limiters

Merobel Electromagnetic Particle Brakes, Clutches & Torque Limiters
Merobel, the world leader in Electromagnetic Particle Brakes, Clutches and Torque Limiters, is well known in high tech. industries, especially Converting, Printing, Textile, Composite materials, Automotive, Aeronautics, etc.  Used as Brakes, Clutches, or Torque Limiters, the industrial applications continue to expand (automation, conveyors, robotics, test benches, etc).  In association with our Controllers & Sensors, the capabilities of our Electromagnetic Particle Brakes, Clutches and Torque Limiters allows us to offer an efficient solution for design motion controlled and force regulation systems.
