Applications for Corbac Servo-Reducers

Machining Center Tool Changer Drive:

The Corbac can be used to drive a tool changer on a machining center.  The pinion gear attaches to the output shaft and drives a ring gear that positions the tool changer turret.  Short tool change cycle times are achieved with high acceleration/deceleration rates, requiring a high torque capacity on the Corbac reducer.

Low backlash ensures accurate positioning of the tool changer turret.  The Corbac allows the backlash to be controlled for the lifetime of the machine.
